The work of Hybrid Pedagogy requires the combined efforts of a team of reviewers, editors, proofreaders, and media specialists to manage, publish, and publicize the work of our authors. This journal provides an opportunity to work with a diverse, distributed team on a variety of digital platforms, gaining experience in digital publishing workflows and in team collaboration. The following positions are available:

Digital Content Specialist

Exclusively for students at Kean University in New Jersey, USA

Working closely with the journal's Managing Editor, this position is responsible for the polish and professionalism of publications and social marketing surrounding them. As a Digital Content Specialist, you'll prepare articles for publication through final reviews, verifying hyperlink relevance/accuracy, proofreading text, and applying house style to articles before scheduling them for publication. Additionally, you'll create announcements for journal articles and podcast episodes on social-media platforms (especially Twitter) and schedule posts to keep the journal's work active and present in informal academic discussions.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Flexibility
  • Facility with digital writing, including hypertext

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience producing content with social media platforms, especially Twitter
  • Competence and comfort using collaboration and review features of major word-processing platforms, especially Google Docs
  • Familiarity with Ghost.io publishing platform and Slack collaboration platform

Audio Content Specialist

Exclusively for students at Kean University in New Jersey, USA

Working closely with the journal's Associate Director, this position is responsible for the polish and professionalism of publications from Teacher of the Ear. As an Audio Content Specialist, you'll edit and mix interview recordings to match episode scripts, cleaning up conversations while preserving speakers' distinctive styles. You'll maintain the show's sound by consistently applying filters to enhance spoken-word clarity.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Flexibility
  • Organization, especially of digital archives/files

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Proficiency with GarageBand, Audacity, or similar
  • Familiarity with Anchor.fm publishing platform and Slack collaboration platform
